At this meeting we will be working with a healing technique inspired by the Shipibo-Conibo of the Amazon Rainforest. The Shipibo-Conibo use patterns and sacred songs – know asIcaros – to support physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing as well as offering spiritual protection and guidance.
The Shipibo-Conobo work the patterns they are given into everyday objects such as textiles, fabrics, bags, pictures, and other items allowing the intentions, meanings and vibrations they convey to be carried into every day life.
Using a core-shamanic approach inspired by this technique we will journey to meet a new healing teacher who will show the healing pattern and teach the healing song needed at this time. The pattern and song received can be used for further healing, journeys and creative work.
We will also perform a healing ceremony for the earth that builds on the Shipibo-Conibo technique.
1st journey – drum journey
I am journeying to the Upper World to ask my spirit helper to take me to a teacher of the Shipibo-Conibo way of healing through pattern and song, who will work with me and show me what I need to know about this practice.
2nd Journey – pairs work drum is in the background, people use their rattles to take them on the journey
part 1 – I am journeying to the Upper World to the same teacher, to receive the healing pattern that _____ needs at this time.

part 2 – I go back into the journey to receive the song that goes with the healing pattern and its place on the body.
Part 3 – come back, place the pattern on the body where you were shown and sing the song through the pattern into the body
